How does Rally work?

Ace Updated by Ace

Rally uses a Kindle-like interface that underlines the word to be read next. The underline advances in real time, from one word to the next, until a student skips a word or makes an error. Rally indicates the skipped or misread word by underscoring it with a dashed line. Students can opt to read the word again or to have Rally read the error word to them. Then the dashed line disappears, and Rally resumes underlining words to be read next. Rally tracks the uncorrected errors as "Challenge Words" on the Dashboard. After that day’s reading is done, user's are encouraged to practice those words.
